Estate Tax Exemption is Now $5,430,000

As of January 1, 2015, the federal exemption for the estate tax, gift tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax is now $5,430,000. This amount has been adjusted for inflation since the original $5,000,000 exemption in 2010.
