We Want to Help

Our Mission: assist our low income neighbors with free legal help

Need Legal Help?

What is the VCBA/VLSP?

The Ventura County Bar Association – Volunteer Legal Service Program (“VLSP”) is the pro bono (free) affiliate of the Ventura County Bar Association. VLSP provides legal services to low-income people in Ventura County.

VLSP provides this free legal assistance by matching up those we serve with volunteer attorneys who will provide the service for free. We also put on clinics where people can learn how to represent themselves in some matters.

I need legal help. Can VLSP assist me?

You may be eligible for free legal services through VLSP if you have a case in Ventura County that is within our program priorities and your income falls within our guidelines. VLSP does not assist with criminal matters or fee-generating cases (such as suing for personal injury).

How do I contact VLSP?

If you seek legal help and your income is low, call VLSP at:
Intake hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The Intake Coordinator will ask you several questions to determine whether we can assist you. If we cannot assist you, we will do our best to refer you to someone who can.
